- Both Building Options and Layers are used to hide or display items
- Building Options can be used to make items completely appear or disappear from drawings and 3D
- Layers affect the visibility of objects in drawings. The visibility of Layers can be adjusted for each drawing mode
- Layers visibility can be adjusted for underlying drawings in Overlays
- Building Options can be turned on or off in Plan Sets
- Building Options can be turned on or off in Annotated views
- Building Options affect both 2D and 3D
- Layers affect 2D only
