What are Holiday Cabinets?

Holiday Cabinets are wall cabinets that are extra tall, most commonly going all the way to the ceiling. For CTH the standard Holiday Cabinet has an 18" upper door and a single lower door for the rest of the cabinet.

In addition to the Wall Cabinets, other cabinets such as above the refrigerator and above the oven will have similar matching configurations. For example, an oven cabinet for a 9' ceiling would have an 87" tall oven cabinet with an 18" tall matching cabinet above for a total of 105". The Oven Cabinet for a 10' ceiling would have a 96" tall oven cabinet with a matching 18" cabinet above for a total of 114".

Above the cabinets will be a filler and then above that will be crown molding to the ceiling.

General Notes on Tall Cabinets

• Kountry Wood wall cabinets does not come in 51"  The tallest wall cabinet in Kountry wood is 42" So if the customer wants cabinet taller than 42" we have to go with stack cabinet ( etc. holiday cabinet ) and our supplier recommend 18" wall cabinets on top. There is no Wxx42-CH51 in Kountry wood
• In Tidwell wall cabinets can go up to 60"
  • TW - One door 51" cabinets should be labeled -Wxx42-CH51
  • TW - 2-door 42" door on bottom and 18" door on top = Wxx51 -STW
  • TW- wall cabinets over 51" have to have 2- doors
• On the Microwave cabinet our supplier could not give me an answer because the size of the microwave determines the size of the cabinet and the type of cabinet.

• Doors:
  • Wxx42-51CH = one door
  • Wxx51 = two doors
  • Wxx60 is always 2- doors

9' Ceilings

• When sales requests 51" wall cabinets the default will be the 51" wall cabinets with the 2-doors (18" over 33" doors), unless noted otherwise. Also note that Kounty wood cabinets do not come in a 51" cabinet. 42" tall is the max. We will have to stack cabinets for Kounty Wood (18" cabinet over 33" cabinet).
