view and print only part of drawing

Ok maybe I am missing something because I use 3 different CAD software, but, is there a way in SP 14 to view and print only a part of a drawing within a border? In this case, I made a site plan with 5 lots. I only want to print 1 of those lots within a border, and clip the viewable area of the drawing. Another example would be if I had a home plan, and wanted to print out just the kitchen on a detail sheet.

I usually have my dwg file and use multi-dwg to insert a border or create a print file and insert both the dwg and border files.

You have to use Multi-Drawings for this. When adding a drawing to the Multi-Drawing select the checkbox for "Display portion of drawing" in the Multi-Drawing definition dialog box. Then you draw a box around the portion of the drawing you want to display.

thank you Bill! Like I said,

thank you Bill! Like I said, I knew I was missing something. Brain fried from going back and forth between Softplan, AutoCAD and Vertex. Just try to remember all the shortcut keys!
