can I........
SoftPlan Version:
2018 Plus

please have some help in importing a "picture file" from a mauf. catalog. A client wants to see a particular backsplash tile in the kitchen design. I know there must be a way to do it. Just cant find the process anywhere.

Also if someone could tell me if there is a way to make floor tiles, backsplash tiles, or any other tiles appear with a running bond look instead of the stacked bond that seems to be the default.

Thanks

Textures

Textures that are used in 3D are simply images. If you wish to use a certain image that is not included with SoftPlan then you will need to locate one or create one. For instance if you want a "running bond" tile look you could take the "stacked bond" image and manipulate it in a program such as Photoshop to create the desired pattern. Or if you can find a premade pattern from the manufacturer that would be optimal.

Once you have your tile image just place it in an appropriate folder within C:\SoftPlan\3D\Textures\Bitmaps. Then you can select the image the same way you select the ones that came with SoftPlan.
