I am having an issue with the top of my exterior walls extending past the roof surface. I've tried to set the walls to "fit to roof" but that just lowers the height of the roof and does not solve the issue. Any suggestions?
Have you tried to do a clean-up of your roof and adjusting the bubble that snaps to your wall. Sometimes, you have to adjust them to re-adjust to your wall.
Or, what is your distance "Top to fascia"? Your soffit might be to low with a small overhang and roof pitch.
My roof pitch is an 8" with a top of fascia at around 7.5" and a 6" overhang.
I did ctrl "c" tp clean up the roof, unless that's not the correct way of doing it.
I'm still trying to get a handle on the detailed portions of Softplan.
Also, you should generate a cross-section with Softplan. It will help you understand why your wall is sticking out and the adjustments that you have to do. Presently, a truss wouldn't work with your design.
I suspect you have you heel heights set too low. Please see the tutorial Understanding Heel Heights.
