Internet Explorer

SoftPlan is hardwired to use Internet Explorer. So I would suspect that IE has been removed or that it has been modified in some way to prevent it from accessing videos. One place would be to look at your anti-virus program and see if it is blocking video playback. IE might be trying to play the videos using Flash. Flash has lots of security issues and is being phased out in favor of HTML5 playback.

HTML5

Yep, you will need to update your IE. The videos work fine on later versions of IE that support HTML5.

In case it helps, here some

In case it helps, here some info I had from tech support when I would get the message"Your browser doesn't not support video tags";

Please try the steps below to get the training videos to work on your computer. Please note that you must be very careful when making changes in the Registry Editor. 1) Go to C:\Windows and double click "regedit.exe" to launch the Registry Editor. 2) Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Internet Explorer>Main>FeatureControl and highlight the FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION folder. 3) Right click in the white area on the right and select New>DWORD (32-bit) Value. 4) Type in "SoftPlan.exe" as the name. 5) Right click "SoftPlan.exe" and select "Modify". 6) Type in "2328" under "Value data", ensure that "Hexadecimal" is enabled and press OK. 7) Close the Registry Editor and Start SoftPlan 2016 The training videos should now start successfully.
