Schedule
SoftPlan Version:
2014

I have not used the notes "Schedule" function very much.  Am I right, that it does not specify exterior vs interior doors as it comes from softplan?

Opening Schedules

If you have your opening libraries named appropriately you can distinguish between interior and exterior doors by displaying Library Names in the opening schedule.

Interesting that the standard

Interesting that the standard softplan library did not make a differentiation.  Guess I will have to do it myself.

I am now using some outswing doors, I notice that you have a special definition for Outswing doors???

Openings

All of my openings are custom as well as the names of all the Libraries. I don't use any of the openings or opening libraries that come with SoftPlan. But SoftPlan's standard doors do come separated into interior and exterior doors. They are Interior Door and Exterior Door. To keep them separate in the Opening Schedule you need to use the appropriate library when adding your openings. If you use all Interior Door or all Exterior Door openings throughout the house then there is no distinction in the Opening Schedule.

I did use the different doors

I did use the different doors.  Softplans's schedule did not make the difference.

Library

Did you include the Library Name when creating the schedule?

I missed your question about outswing doors before. I rarely use outswing doors but when I do I create a new product code for them. If you simply use an existing door and then change it to be an outswing without making it into a new product code for it then the opening will be listed with the original name but will have "Modified" appended to the name. By creating it as its own separate opening I can control what name is displayed and designate the opening as an outswing rather than a modified opening.

Schedule Setup

This is the schedule setup I used for the schedule above.

You can actually have multiple schedules in the same drawing showing different kinds of openings. By using a combination of Opening Types you can designate what types of openings to show in each schedule.

You can even separate out the Interior and Exterior doors by using the check boxes at the bottom left of the Schedule Properties setup.

Sorry Bill,

I just re-read what you told me.  EDIT schedule to show the library.  Problem Solved.  Will modify my library in the future.  As always, thanks.

Opening Schedule

Set up your Opening Schedule to be like this and you will get an Opening Schedule similar to mine. If you will place a check next to "Save as Default" after setting up your preferences then any new Opening Schedules you create will use these same settings.

Good stuff to know.  I have

Good stuff to know.  I have used this before but since I would not take the time to create new openings and edited some instead, the original is what showed up in the schedule.
