Roof Battens

Is there a way to show and account for on Softlist roof battens that run under the sheetmetal roof covering?

Thanks, Tom

You're right ... It is magic.

You're right ... It is magic. I guess there must be somewhere in the options that defines the thickness of the purlins.  Soft List calls out 1x material. I typically use 2x material, because if you drill & nail the roofing down, the 1x has a tendency to be a little springy, especially if you streach your trusses to 32" oc.

Thanks again,  Tom

You can go to the softlist

You can go to the softlist formula and change it to read 2x whatever.   I couldn't find anything to change the thickness in 3d,  Maybe change it on the texture?

To get the purlin thickness to '2X' lumber, you change the thickness, just above purlins.

Roof Purlin Thickness

Thanks John. That one completely eluded me. The thickness is normally used to set the roof sheathing thickness. But when using purlins instead of sheathing then the setting would apply to the thickness of the purlins.

Roof Purlin thickness

Thanks  John.  I guess it didn't register to me that that dimension was for the purlin since it is not inclusive in the purlin box.  Anyway, thanks for your help.
