Opening against wall
SoftPlan Version:
2014

How can you remove the framing on the side of an opening so that the opening is against the wall. The best I can do is that the opening is 1 1/2" (wood member thickness) away. In the example included, it's the left side of the "AD" opening.

Thanks

Dimension

Add a dimension extension to the opening and then edit the dimension to move the opening exactly where you want it.

Thanks Bill

Gee, that was simple. Don't know why it works that way but not if you try to move it?

Thanks again.

Openings

By default openings will automatically stop before it gets to a wall to allow for the framing that is specified in the opening options. To override the default settings you have to move the openings with a dimension.

You can also use the "Set

You can also use the "Set Distance Between" tool. (saves you having to place a dimension and then erase it after you're done.)
