Fireplace won't display in 3d
SoftPlan Version:

Anyone know why this fireplace will not display in 3d?

Thanks,

Mike

2D Symbol

It is because that particular symbol is 2D only. There is no 3D model linked to it.

Ok thanks, so how do I go

Ok thanks, so how do I go about building a masonry corner fireplace that is visible in 3d?

3D fireplace

There are a number of ways. You could draw it using walls and use a flat arch for the opening and a firebox symbol to show the actual insert. A solid polygon could be used for the hearth. If you wanted the plan to still look like you have it now you could make the walls and firebox symbol hidden so that they don't print. If this is a fireplace that you use often and you always want it to look the same in 3D you could build a 3D model using Sketchup or some other 3D modeling program and then link the symbol to the model.
