Exposing fireplaces in 3D
SoftPlan Version:
2014 Plus

I searched the index in the manual and did a search in help and could find nothing on this.  Didn't even find fireplace listed in the index nor cutting holes in walls though I'm sure it is somewhere.  My question is how do you expose the fireplace face for 3D rendering?  I know there is a tut for putting brick/stone on the face but don't recall anything about how to put the hole in the wall.

Bill,

There are fireplaces and mantles in symbols.  I use "opening-arch-blank" and modify it for the fireplace clearances. As far as I know, this is the only way to put a "hole" in a wall.  I also use solid cubes for brick, stone, marble, etc...

Jim , didn't even think of

Jim , didn't even think of the arch and I recently used it on a 2 story front up off the ground around a round top window.  Thanks much for that.  I'm going to go play with that right now.

Worked very well Jim, thanks

Worked very well Jim, thanks again.   Is there anything in the manual about drawing chimneys?
