Deleting Paint in Custom Mode
SoftPlan Version:
2016 Plus

Hello! This is my first time posting to this forum, so I'm anxious to see what kind of results I get!  I'm sure there's a simple solution to my issue, but I haven't been able to pinpoint it yet. After adding a paint pattern to a drawing, I am able to later select and delete that pattern if I'm in any of the custom drawing modes...unless I can find the exact point where I clicked to insert the pattern originally. In any other drawing mode, patterns will highlight and allow me to select them anywhere. If the pattern is on the default layer this is no problem as I can switch over and delete it from the standard drawing mode, but this becomes frustrating when my patterns are on a layer that is only on for the custom drawing modes. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Show Seed Point

In Visible Items there is an item named "Paint Seed Point". This can be either on or off for each mode. When Paint Seed Point is on you must select the insertion point, AKA the seed point, in order to select or delete the paint. When it is off you can select the paint by clicking anywhere on the paint. Paint Seed Point is only visible if both the Paint Seed Point and Show Non-Printable Items are checked, since of course the seed point is a non-printable item. Personally I always keep Paint Seed Point turned on because I don't want to accidentally select the paint when I am trying to select other items. But some people prefer to be able to select the paint at any location.

Thanks!

Many thanks, Bill!!  That will save me a lot of frustration.  I want it turned on in Drawing mode to prevent accidental selection, but off in the custom mode I'm using for our marketing material so I can quickly change out material patterns. Thanks again!
