Camera Angle Front Elevation
SoftPlan Version:
2016

Every time I generate an Elevation when I click on another page and come back to the generated elevation the camera angle has changed. How can I change the default camera angle so it shows the elevation as I left it(facing the front of the house)? I have attached 2 jpg's. The one on the Top is after I come back to the 3D view.

Thanks

Rick

Rotating Elevations

I've never even seen that happen before. Do you have a 3D mouse attached to your computer? I have a 3D Connexion Space Mouse and if it were to get bumped or maybe a piece of paper laid on it then it can cause 3D windows to rotate.

Just a regular laser mouse. 2012 didn't do that. It happes with all of the 3d elevations

Rotating

I really don't know what is happening there. My observation from the images you provided is that the rotation is only on the Z axis. In other words there is no tilt, just rotation. A pure Z rotation would be difficult to achieve on purpose, let alone by accident. You can use the left and right arrow keys to turn on the Z axis but this also causes the scene to move left or right as well. Attempting to rotate with just a mouse would be very difficult to do without introducing some X or Y rotation. So I am afraid I am clueless as to the cause.

Rotating

You know....looking at it again it could be done by the keyboard. Your rotated version is moved off to the side and not a pure Z rotation. Look at something that may be introducing a rotation via the keyboard arrow keys.

No

Well no. Scratch that. Because an arrow rotation would cause the side shift to be the other direction if you were creating that direction of rotation. So back to clueless.

Thanks Bill, I may send it to softplan and see what they say.

Bill, one thing I just noticed is when I regenerate the 3d front elevation, the tab never turns to white. I tried it on another project and it work like it should when you regenerate it the tab turns back to white.

Gremlins

Gremlins. Yes, most definitely gremlins in your system.

I regenerated back to shaded and then to rendered and the Gremlins went away.

Thanks for all of your help
