Built-in Cabinetry
SoftPlan Version:
2016 Plus

I'm trying to put some custom cabinetry into a master bathroom (see attached sketch). Does softplan allow for this kind of cabinetry and I just haven't found the option? Or do I need to create it as a custom symbol myself? For quickness sake, would it work to just put some kind of modifed door on the wall? How would you guys go about representing this on the floor plan?

Not entirely sure what you

Not entirely sure what you are attempting.  Is this cabinetry going to be inset in the wall and how high off of the ground?

Insert

Yes it'd be built into the wall. The upper cabinets would be above the toilet as a pair of double cabinet doors, the full height one probably all one door.

I have attached a double

I have attached a double cabinet above the toilet inset in the wall.  I used auto cabinet to create the cabinets.  Hope this helps.

Cabinets

If I understand correctly your drawing, you have a short shallow cabinet behind the toilet and a full height one behind accessible by another room? Or, you drew it that way but want to have one cabinet?

separate

It would be separate cabinets, recessed into the wall. The shallow one would be deep enough for things like toilet paper rolls, allowing the adjacent cabinet to go back to the full depth behind it.

Built-in

I would use an upper for the shallow cabinet and tall cabinet for the other. Than insert 2 arches in your walls the size of your cabinets and with the same offset from the floor as the cabinets. You can adjust (might have to turn-off clean-up on some cabinets) the position of your cabinets to fit thru the openings.

not sure if that answers?

I'm not sure if this is what

I'm not sure if this is what you are wanting but here goes...

I created 4 walls (whatever dims you want)

Added  Opening>Arch>Blank to left and top wall

Left wall opening; 3'-4" wide, 24" tall, offset 6'-0" off floor (or whatever size you need)

Top wall opening; 1'-8 1/2" wide, 96" tall, 0" offset (or whatever size you need)

Add wall cabinets to left wall

One at 20" wide, 24" deep, 72" offset up

One at 20" wide, 6" deep, 72" offset up

Add tall cabinet to top wall

     20 1/2" wide, 24" deep, 96" tall

All cabinets set 1/2" past wall to allow for sheetrock.

A couple pictures and floorplan attached.

thanks!

That looks like it could work well. The arch should frame out the opening pretty well. Thanks guys!
