Bay window
SoftPlan Version:
2014 Plus

I don't even remember the last time I used a bay window but my current project calls for it. Simple little standard softplan bay window pop-out but there is no top/ ceiling/ roof for it. Wanting to send a 3D view where this is located to the client but I need to have it look like it should. Is there something I am missing as to why softplan would have a window with no top to it? Thanks in advance.

Window Roof

SoftPlan does not provide roofs that will attach to windows. You can place small hidden beams or plates at the top of the window to give a roof something to attach to or you could use a roof symbol from the Bay symbol library. If you use the plate or beam method you can edit the plate or beam and on the Wall or Beam tab check Hidden to prevent it from printing and on the Common tab uncheck Extract in Model to prevent it from showing in 3D.

Window roof

That is my point in one sense- why give us a window symbol that neither has a roof assembly attached to it nor can you put a little roof on it! It's like a half thought through idea.
