Angled Elevations
SoftPlan Version:
2016 Plus

Hi I'm relatively new to Softplan. I am working in a project that someone else at my company created, updating it as as-built. One of the things that I need to do is to get the angled elevations to appear in the same scale as the Softplan generated ones. To get a SW, SE, and NE elevation I've been using "Look At Surface" in the 3D window and saving it out as a 2D drawing. The problem is that these drawings don't show the right scale. My 3/16" drawings all look to be different sizes depending on the view.

Is there a way to generate an angled elevation like you can generate Front, Right, etc.? I'd like to be able to go back to the exact elevation again to update my 2D drawing as well.

A possibility is to use section lines in front of your exterior angled walls at the same angle and generate the sections making sure to check the "Background" box. If you don't want your section lines to show up on your floor plan, you can put them on a Don't print layer.
