Accumulated areas
SoftPlan Version:
2014

Wasn't really sure what to post as the subject.  It seems that areas "accumulate" even though they don't show when tracing the drawing outline.  Are the area tracings hidden somewhere causing this?  I hope I'm clear.  See the attachment.

Area Tracings

Hey Bill. There are two different lists. The top list shows the areas included in the current drawing. The Model Totals show all the areas in all the drawings included in the Model. So in your example there is another drawing in your model that has an area 10 of 59.5 sq ft. If you were to remove that drawing from the model then the two lists would be identical.

Thanks for the reply Bill.

Thanks for the reply Bill.  So both will always show up?  Having read your explanation I see what you are saying.  The actual drawing that is used for the model is a different drawing and it is the 1209 sf. The one the screen shot was for is the one I was working on at the time.   I often work on a couple of different drawings at a time to achieve the desired result for the client and that is what happened in this case. Will the model amounts always show?

Areas

Yes, hovering your mouse over that button will always show the current drawing and the model totals. You can also generate an area schedule and select either Current Drawing or Drawings in Model to set the parameters for the schedule.
