New to Sketchup
SoftPlan Version:
2014

Any power SketchUp  users here?

It just has so many awesome capabilities I decided to buy the pro version.

The thing that put me off for a long time is the amount of trouble it takes to set it up and to truly make it functional requires several plugins.

It looks like Instant Roof Nui and GKware Stairmaker are two good ones.

There is a tool that exports a rotatable model in PDF format and also a section tool that looks handy. There are so many photo-realistic renderers to choose from.

The Product Connect plugin looks useful for schedules

-anyone know of others?

Sketchup

Chris,

We use Sketchup extensively as part of our normal Work-Flow, some of our renderings are posted in the Gallery that have been done using Softplan, Sketchup, Vray, and CS6.. I would be happy to share my thoughts and suggestions with you regarding the software. Please feel free to contact me directly: shaun@gdcflorida.com.

I'm a Newby to SKup

Now that you have a couple of years under your belt on SKup, what are your thoughts for a newby? I just purchased it to help expand my design business. I didn't realize you need to buy additional extensions for rendering. There are a lot to choose from. Any suggestions on how to get started wtih SKup and software for renderings and video?
