accounting software

Anyone use anything other than Quickbooks?  I want a cloud based accounting software.  Quickbooks will run about $26-30/month and that seems to be more than it's worth to me.  I've seen a few alternatives out there and they all seem to be b/t $20-$30 depending on your needs (# of clients, # of invoice sent pre month).  I was just wondering if anyone could other some suggestions.

Is this for basic invoicing for drawings or does it involve actual construction budget management and progress billing either to a client or for construction draws?

Simple invoicing for my

Simple invoicing for my services and tracking expenses.  I like that I can email invoices directly from quickbooks.  However, my version of Quickbooks (2010) keep barking at me to upgrade or else I can't email directly from within after 5/31.  I can still create an invoice/pdf and then email it out.  I figured if I were to upgrade, I'd see what else it out there.  There are several cloud based programs which look appealing simply b/c I do work on the road sometimes and would like to be able to track expenses from my laptop or cell phone app.

I have researched software

I have researched software extensively and have also developed a complete construction takeoff, budget and project management program that will be marketed at some point. For your purposes, I have a subcontractor that invoices me from QB online. He loves it and can actually invoice me from his phone. Photos or attachments can also be uploaded to the invoice. QB is the most universal and the best for the money and learning curve. However, it is no good for a full service general contractor, including the contractor version. The long and short - stay away from the expensive, proprietary, one size (doesn't) fit all programs that are out there.

Larry - Thanks.  I recently

Larry - Thanks.  I recently did a trial with quickbooks online and ended up purchasing it.  It is more expensive that I think the software should be, but it will pay for itself in the long run b/c of my billing habits.  I often work onsite for an hourly rate.  I have a terrible habit of tracking my time.  However, in the month that I've been using the mobile app on quickbooks, i've tracked a few hours that i probably would have forgotten about otherwise which more than makes up the $22/month I am spending on it.
