Site Configuration Changes

From time to time I browse this site using different browsers in order to verify that everything is working as expected in each browser. Today I noticed a problem with Internet Explorer 10. No surprise there. Internet Explorer is notorious for causing huge headaches for web developers. What was happening is that if you attempted to create a Forum post or a Comment anywhere on the site while using Internet Explorer you could not write anything unless you first clicked somewhere within the icons above the text area. So I made some configuration changes that hopefully took care of this problem in IE. I would have taken care of this sooner if anyone had alerted me to the problem.

As always, if you experience anything that is not working as it should please let me know so I can correct it.

Thanks,
Bill

Chrome

I use Chrome but I didn't have any problems. It was only when I did a test with IE that I noticed the problem. Glad it is working better for you now. I wish I had known sooner there was a problem.

Bill I sent you a PM

Bill I sent you a PM concerning this.  I also came on just now and before I logged on I noticed my name listed as being online though I wasn't yet.  This happened last Friday as well.  Just an FYI.

Hey Bill. Is it possible that the last time you visited the site you did not log out? If your browser has not been set to reject cookies and you never log out you will automatically be logged on each time you visit the site. Personally I never log out. For security reasons I use a different password on every site that I have accounts on. I can't remember all those passwords so if I were to log on to each one every time I'd be constantly referencing my password list. The only sites I log out of are when I do anything on banking sites. All other sites I just browse to without having to log in each time.
